As the Don Lugo Graduating Class of 2009 prepares to walk down the red carpet on Thursday at Citizens Bank Arena, we wish them the best that life can give. Don Lugo is a place of deep promise and, as we reflect upon this past year, our first year as the Don Lugo Renaissance Foundation, we are thankful that we could be part of the hope and dreams that are founded and fostered each day on this campus.
We have enjoyed many successes. Your funds helped to establish Don Lugo’s First Annual Community Art Gala, provide students with honor cards for the grades that they earned, and provided students who are on track to graduate a play day. Additionally, we celebrate as the Stadium is finally being built — purportedly to be finished by January 2010 — VERY exciting. However, these successes mean nothing in comparison to the larger successes of the year: our graduates.
Don Lugo High School is in the business of changing lives and impacting futures — you see that clearly every time a proud parent looks at their graduate shakes the hand of a teacher, walks down the red carpet, and begins the next part of their life’s journey. Thank you for all YOU have done for our graduates and students this year. Thank you for YOUR support of changing lives and impacting Don Lugo students, staffulty, and parents.
