Matthew J. McDavidMr. Matthew McDavid. - President - Sitting in the bleachers as a High School freshman, Matt saw one of the faculty arrive dressed as the High School mascot. He was inspired to volunteer to be this charismatic symbol of school pride full time. For four years, he proudly dressed as our school mascot, Don the Conquistador; parading with the band, cheering in the gym, and carrying the banner for our football games! Don Lugo High School and her faculty were active models enriching integrity and character in his young-adult life. Serving his alma mater as a participant to help fund the academic program and help students is a role he is proud to be part of. A bachelor degree from Biola University, as well as partnerships with various businesses, has provided an experience that he hopes may serve the students of Don Lugo through this foundation. Matt is honored to labor with fellow alumni and pour into Don Lugo what Don Lugo has poured into us.

Ben AthertonMr. Benjamin Atherton - Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Mr. Atherton is a life long resident of the Chino Valley. He is a Don Lugo alumnus. Bringing his extensive experience as a business owner to the board of the Don Lugo Renaissance Foundation, Mr. Atherton believes, as his colleagues do, that being a graduate of Chino Valley Schools has made him more than simply a graduate: his character was shaped by Chino Valley Schools to make him want to support his home schools actively and financially, desiring to spread this spirit to others.

He hopes that a fire a unity will continue to spread in this valley, bringing students, staffulty, parents, alumni, and business and community partners to invest more than ever in the most sacred of Chino Valley’s institutions: its schools.

Danny MendozaMr. Danny Mendoza - Mr. Mendoza is a Don Lugo Alumnus and life long resident of the city of chino. He participated in many school activities and sports at Don Lugo, including his service on the Leadership board for the Don Lugo Football team. Since he graduated, he has been working as a paralegal and attending Cal State Fullerton, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

He hopes to continue his education at Columbia University with aspirations to practice law. He is also enrolled with the UCLA Extension program and is in the process of receiving a certificate in non-profit fundraising. I want to be a lawyer, child advocate, and a graphic design artist.
