Sustainability and Accountability

Because our mission is to change lives and impact futures of the students, staffulty and parents of Don Antonio Lugo High School, we commit to enter into partnerships with these stakeholders in such a way that maintains the integrity of our foundation and holds true to the values of Don Lugo and its stakeholders. Accordingly, we wish to be completely transparent in our practices and financial standing. For this reason, we offer the following overview of our operations.

Meetings of the Board of Directors and Stakeholders Committee are open to the public. Please consult the applicable agenda to get information about the date, location, and time of each meeting.

IRS Authorization
The Don Lugo Renaissance Foundation is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions made to the Don Lugo Renaissance Foundation are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. You may view our exemption letter by clicking here.

District Authorization
We are a Chino Valley Unified School District authorized school-connected organization. The Board of Education provided our authorization at their October 2, 2008 meeting.

To satisfy Chino Valley Unified School District Board Policy and Administrative Regulations 1230 and Education Code 51521, the Don Lugo Renaissance Foundation was authorized in October 2008 as described in AR1230(a), Section 4. To view our application materials, choose one of the following options:
